Maddie and Ryan’s wedding day at @thefrenchfarmhousevenue was the perfect mix of heartfelt emotion, timeless beauty, and so many intentional details. From start to finish, the day was filled with laughter, joyful tears, and an energy that made everyone feel so connected. As their videographer, I had the honor of capturing their love story on both Super 8 film and digital video, blending vintage nostalgia with modern storytelling — and it couldn’t have fit their day more perfectly.
One of my favorite parts of filming Maddie and Ryan’s wedding was how much audio storytelling we incorporated. From their private vows to the emotional toasts, every voice carried so much warmth and love. You can truly feel the emotion through the way their friends and family spoke about them. Layering those moments with the soft hum of Super 8 grain brought their story to life in such an authentic and textured way — it’s the kind of film that makes you feel like you were right there, celebrating beside them.
The day started with @brite.beauty, who created the dreamiest hair and makeup looks for Maddie and her bridesmaids. Their team set such a calm, happy tone for the morning. Maddie looked absolutely stunning in her gown from @iconicbridedallas with final touches by @alteredforthealtar — the dress moved so effortlessly, especially during the golden hour portraits.
The @flowerhousedallas team transformed the space with soft, romantic florals that perfectly complemented the French countryside aesthetic of the venue. Every arrangement felt lush but timeless, creating a setting that was both elegant and inviting. The @bigdpartyrentals pieces and custom @inkredibledancefloors added the perfect finishing touches to the reception space, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration.
Maddie and Ryan worked with @maxwellandgray for planning, and every detail was thought through with intention — from the cozy cocktail hour setup to the smooth transitions throughout the night. The entire day flowed seamlessly, giving the couple time to slow down, take it in, and really be present.
Dinner by @patrioticpigbbq was such a hit (I’m still dreaming about that meal!), followed by the most beautiful cake from @blushandwhiskbakery that looked almost too pretty to cut. The evening continued with music by @djandyaustin, who kept the dance floor packed all night. Watching Maddie and Ryan surrounded by all their favorite people, dancing under the lights, was the perfect ending to their story.
One of my favorite touches was having @mariahsmomentsmedia_ there capturing behind-the-scenes content — I love when couples include a content creator! It makes the day even more dynamic and allows them to relive the day from every perspective.
As a filmmaker, this wedding reminded me why I love blending Super 8 film with digital storytelling. The grainy texture of film paired with high-quality digital moments tells such a full, emotional story — it’s nostalgic yet modern, just like Maddie and Ryan. Their wedding wasn’t just beautiful, it was intentional, and that’s exactly what we love to capture.
